Let’s invest in more neighborhood parks. Safe, fun spaces help families thrive and make our community a place people are proud to call home.

To be able to enjoy an outdoor swimming pool. Shame on the city for not keeping up with the one we had

More focus on native plants and wildlife. George Owens is very underused and needs more events and support.

A community center similar to Greg Klice in KCMO with a pool for water aerobics. Such an amenity for all ages and the community as a whole!

Outdoor aquatics center and more splash pads. Independence is too large of a city to have such SUPER LIMITED access.

I would like to be able to visit the parks in Independence and feel safe. More lighting and improvements in the parking areas may help.

I don't know if this is a parks plan, but I would like more opportunities to improve fitness (I'm a senior) in lots of places and ways.

“Littles Area” would be great at Clothier Park similar to the one at McCoy Park for children under 5. Short slides & closer to the ground.

We need parks with play areas that match our surrounding cities. New, accessible, inviting. And splash areas directly next to them.
