The City of Reynoldsburg is developing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This Master Plan will create the framework for decision makers in the planning, maintenance and development of Reynoldsburg’s parks and recreation facilities. The Master Plan is intended as a planning tool that both addresses future needs and establishes parks and facilities standards. In addition, the Master Plan must provide recommendations for a systematic and prioritized approach for implementation of parks and recreation projects.

Purpose

Integral to the planning process is public engagement through a variety of methods to educate and engage the community about the future of the park, recreation, and community services. A system-wide approach to evaluating parks and recreation is desired to develop goals, policies, and guidelines with achievable strategies. This Master Plan will:

  • Maximize community engagement opportunities
  • Create a future strategy for parks, recreation, and green spaces that is equitable to the entire community
  • Utilize a wide variety of data sources and best analytical practices
  • Enhance the environmental resilience of Reynoldsburg by leveraging parks and green spaces
  • Shape the financial sustainability and organizational excellence
  • Develop a dynamic and realistic action plan
